Fly-in started with 2 new friends
Four decades ago, two pals met at an antique airplane fly-in in Iowa. Jim Leahy, Galesburg, and Tom Lowe of Crystal Lake bonded over their Stearman airplanes at fly-ins around the country. A few years later, Leahy asked Lowe for help in planning a Stearman fly-in right in town — and 39 years later, that event continues.

Roaring fighter jets open fly-in

Rush concert rocks PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel
Rush, I was told by my concertgoing companion, has won the rock lottery. No other band has held its lineup intact for such a long time; no other classic rock band can claim that that lineup still plays as well as they ever have.
