Comedy to support Veterans
WILMINGTON - Local Heroes and the Wilmington Veterans of Foreign Wars will be holding a fundraising comedy night on Saturday, September 11, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall. Proceeds will defray costs for Wilmington veterans to make a trip to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II, Korean War, Iwo Jima Memorials and “The Wall” Vietnam Memorial, and more.

The title role of a chauffeur's daughter — who is the object of affection from two wealthy brothers — will be played by black actress Susan Heyward.
